FINE ART PRINTS
“A great photograph is a full expression of what one feels about what is being photographed in the deepest sense, and is, thereby, a true expression of what one feels about life in its entirety.” – Ansel Adams

Many Options to Display Your Prints
Ansel Adams, I believe was "right on" when he expressed that "a great photograph is full of expression of what one feels." Just think of the emotion Ansel could have created if he had todays choices in photographic displays. Your reason to hang a photograph in you home or office is personal and emotional. The emotion in a photograph, or any work of art, is what helps a viewer connect with the display. As a photographer, my hope is that my work leads you toward happiness and joy every time you look at your prints and it gives you pride when you display your images to your friends and colleagues.
We have multiple presentation choices today to display our photography and it's often confusing and overwhelming. Traditional Fine Art Paper Prints
When people think about hanging photographs, historically this was the method. Get a print of you favorite image on glossy or matte photographic paper, put it in a frame and hang it on your wall. This is probably still the most popular way to display photographs. This tends to be the most cost effective and allows the buyer to put their image in any frame they desire.
However, it's not that easy anymore, like "gummy bears" photographic print paper comes in many flavors. Glossy, Matte, Metallic, smooth or textured are just some of the choices. I have experience in printing on over 50 types of photographic paper and each year new ones are introduced. I prefer archival heavyweight Hahnemühle Fine Art Baryta paper as it looks like your image should be hanging in a gallery or museum when printed on this photographic paper. However, if there is a specific paper your are familiar with and would like to discuss, I'm happy to do so. There are at least 18 different photographic papers I use in my business. I like to leave white borders around the image to make it easier for matting and framing.
Loose prints need to be cared for before you frame them so its best to take them directly to your framer when you receive them.

Image Panels and Plaques
The next option you have is to take your chosen photographic paper and mount the image to an MDF (Medium Density Fiberboard) substrate using an acid-free adhesive. You then coat it with a clear satin or glossy protective laminate that adds durability and enhances the overall look of your masterpiece. The edges are then finished with your choice of foil color or painted.

Metal Prints
One of the most magical new forms of photographic printing these days is to print images directly on aluminum. By infusing dyes directly into specially coated aluminum sheets your images turn out with a etherial luminance. The choices of mounts and handing options are vast. When printing on metal its good to have a conversation of what you are after and how it will be displayed.

Acrylic
Like metal a new entry into "awesome" is acrylic printing. What you get with acrylic prints are beautiful Fine Art Prints face-mounted to plexiglass with polished edges. The depth of the plexiglass varies as does the mounting and display features.

Canvas
This is not your grandparents' canvas anymore. Canvas prints are now spectacular depending on how and where you display them. No longer is the canvas stretched across a frame and let to blow free in the air. The new standard is to have the image directly affixed to a solid supported face that does not allow warping, sagging or degradation. How you wrap the edges is a choice too but an easy one to make with the friendly guidance.

Wood
Have you ever thought of spring and image directly to a piece of wood? Well, you now have that choice. Your image is printed on a 1/2" of Maple that allows the grain and other charachteristics of the wood to show through your image. No two images will be the same. You can also have a white ink underlay printed on the wood that allows you to focus on the image itself.
